Happy Easter

I'm not really sure how other families are able to get their whole family in a picture at once.....

...And she's off!

**And that's Clay saying "Candy! Candy! Candy!" Because maybe he thinks if he says it enough times I will keep giving him more.

Swim Lessons

We enrolled the boys in swim lessons back in January. No seriously, I paid a giant wad of cash 3 months ago to get a spot in these classes. Apparently it's THE place to get swim lessons and we've talked to 5 or 6 families that have raved about it.

We've had two weeks of them so far. We knew Clay was going to freak out the first few classes. So far, we're right on track and he's able to scream at the top of his lungs for the whole class.
The coaches are very good with him, and Cory's in the water with him the whole time. And as soon as he's out of the water he is really positive about the whole thing. He doesn't answer us when we ask why he's crying. But he always says he wants to come back and do it again!? And every time we ask, "What was your favorite part?"
He says, "Going underwater!"
Could've fooled me....

Carter has cried the past two classes as well, although I think we may have had a breakthrough about halfway through last class. I'm not totally sure why Carter cries about it. He says hes cold, but none of the other kids act cold. But, he seems to be enjoying it now, and is able to go to the bottom of the 3 foot section and retrieve pool rings (with some assistance)!

Here is Carter (in the black swim shirt with the coach) diving for a ring. I think he's the only one that can't 'touch' at the 3 foot level :(

In the little kids' class they sing "I'm a little pancake" instead of I'm a little teapot. They're teaching the kids to learn to float on their backs. They have the parents hold only the kid's head so the rest of their body is unsupported. (So they're actually floating) Clay feels so vulnerable I think, and he SCREAMS.

In this one, Clay had to swim underwater and reach for the 'wall'. At the wall, he gets a ring and then walks over to put it in a bucket. I think he's supposed to be 'swimming' and kicking across the step, not walking. But we'll take what we can get, I guess.

Here is Carter jumping off in the deep end. They are teaching them to turn around and look for the wall after they jump in.

Imagination before 8am

Already overheard this morning:

"Mom! Clay hit me with a quetzalcoatlus!"

" Where do dinosaur's milk come out of? I don't see any boobies? These dinosaur babies are hungry!"

"Okay Clay, you be the mormon."

An Oldie but a Goodie

Here are Carter and Clay juggling at Christmas last year.

**Here's hoping they actually go to clown college, so I can use their 529s for expensive resort wear and around the world crusies.
