Our computer has been on the fritz, again. It's been hanging on by a thread for awhile now. Luckily, my husband is a smart guy that can patch it up for awhile until it tries to die again. UNluckily, he does not work for Apple so we cannot buy a Macbook for a reasonable price.
The Thursday before Easter, Carter and Clay's preschool had an Easter egg hunt and fire station field trip. My parents came into town on Friday, we went to church Sunday morning (I am really going to miss our church here!) and they left on Tuesday. It was - as always - too short of a visit. But I was so glad to see them for an extended weekend.

The teachers did something new this year. I tried to find the post that I swore I wrote last year about socialized Easter egg hunting. But, apparently it only exists in my head. My point was that the kids were all only allowed to grab 12 eggs. Which I guess is fair and all, but 12 eggs takes about 30 seconds to collect. So the hunt was really short and over by the time we all knew what was going on. This year, they tried something different by writing each child's name on 12 eggs. Well, that's fine and dandy for the kids who are reading, (maybe 1/4 of the class?) but it really left most of the kids frustrated and the babies confused. Vivi had no idea why she could only pick up certain eggs. Clay was upset that he was left to walk slowly and check all the eggs for his name while Carter zoomed off on his own. Of course, no one seemed to be able to find all their own eggs, and after 20 minutes, all the parents grabbed all the leftover eggs, put them in a pile and sorted through them ourselves. Carter actually loved it, and was a good resource after he had found most of his eggs. He would pick up any eggs around him and just take them to the rightful owner. Hm, neither year's idea worked perfectly, but alas, there are bigger problems in the world than perfect Easter egg hunting schemes.

This is Clay and Tatiannah, She lives a few houses down from us, and we carpool with her. I take all the kids to school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Tatiannah's mom brings Carter home. It is a nice deal considering Clay doesn't stay the whole day and I pick him up at noon.
Right next door to the park where we hunted eggs was the fire station. The kids got the standard peek inside the fire truck and tried on some of the gear. Here is Clay getting a turn at the hose.
Our plan was to take pictures before church, but we were running behind and decided we would just have to do it when we got home. Everyone was really cranky and hungry of course.
