It's been an incredibly long time since I've posted. And tons of things have happened since then. But, that will all have to wait because we bought an RV and took her on her maiden voyage two days later!

| The kids promptly fell asleep after only about an hour on the road. They slept like rocks for almost the whole trip |

We stayed at
Rancho Oso in Santa Barbara and loved it! It was the perfect mix of "RV Park" and "Nature". It's a real working ranch with animals and horses. Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of the trail rides (since you have to be 8). But we thoroughly enjoyed the playground, mini-golf and swimming in their heated pool. Since we were only here one night, we didn't get to take advantage of their bull demonstrations or see their horse farrier at work. But this is one place we will definitely go back for a second go 'round.

We stopped in the town of
Solvang on our way to destination number 2. It is a beautiful little Dutch town with charming shops, restaurants and famous aebleskivers! It was a beautiful day, so we just left the generator going and left the dogs in the RV and enjoyed the sights (and tastes!) for an afternoon.
