PCS

We're about smack dab in the middle of ours, just like the rest of the Air Force it seems. We've traveled 3,637 miles (driven 2,617 of it) so far and still have 1,461 miles left to go (driving in separate cars this time). It's been a lot of crazy fun and I am hoping I will have some time in the next few days for actual posting. Don't you hate that when you have lots to post about, you don't have time to post it? Yet, when there's nothing exciting going on, you have plenty of time to post about how nothing exciting is going on. We have visited Cory's family in the Midwest, My family in TX and we're off to stay with some great friends in Tucson for 2 days then finally to good ol' Edwards, CA by the 20th of this month.

Carter's Sports Festival

Carter was not in a gymnastics class this year but a tumbling class. Meh, I was a little less than impressed. But, we're moving in 2 weeks anyway. There's a pretty good gym in Palmdale that Carter attended when he was 3 but we had to take a break when he fractured his skull.

Sports Festival

Remember when I used to write things on this blog? You know, my thoughts and funny stories? Ha! That was the day, wasn't it? It wasn't all just pictures and videos of the kids? Hopefully I will get back to that soon. Oh! I know! When we get to Edwards, I will have plenty of time to write. I won't have a house to unpack and the kids won't have school or activities yet. The only problem is that I may not have anything worth writing about. We shall see friends, we shall see. Until then, enjoy videos of Clay at sports festival.

Editor's Note: Not everyone may want to watch 5+ minutes of a 3 yr old doing 'gymnastics'. If inclined, skip to the last clip for the 44 second awards ceremony.

A Visit

Since we're headed back to CA in 4 short weeks, we decided to make a quick jaunt over to Mississippi to visit my grandparents. Obviously, it's going to be hard to see them very much once we're in CA. We spent the night at my Aunt's house and had a quick visit with my grandparents on Saturday evening and then had lunch with them on Sunday afternoon. We brought Bailey along and were hoping to arrive and then leave without incident. But, as I'm sure you can guess, those times are few and far between. My Aunt let the 5 of us (+1 dog) have her master bedroom and sometime during the night, Bailey laid on their long designer curtains and pulled them straight out of the wall and down onto herself. ~sigh~ The kids weren't too bad, just bored. We were planning on allowing them to get their wiggles out by swimming, but a cold front came in Saturday night and ruled that out.
Some delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes and peas.

Clay was a disaster come lunchtime Sunday afternoon. And this was before our drive home.
