Off with her....tail

After our vet appointment today the veterinarian was not impressed with how slowly Bailey's tail is healing, so we're taking her in for surgery Wednesday morning. Luckily it's a quick, easy procedure and we'll be able to pick her up that afternoon. She'll have a few stitches but they'll be able to come out after a week or so.
Wish her luck!

Are they taking the whole tail, or just a few inches?

I say chop it off completely! Then she can pass it off to the other dogs as a "planned removal". With her little half tail she'll be the laughing stock of the Osan dog club! Plus you'd have fewer broken Christmas ornaments...

so i meant to comment on this back when you mentioned it first... the same thing happened to my dog a year ago we went to disney world for our anniversary and left him and with a friend and she had him in the bathroom and he hit something... it was horrible we bandaged it but i swear i had blood on every wall in my house! The vet taped it up better and told us the same thing if it didnt heal the only way to fix it would be cutting part of it off... luckily it healed but it was such a freakin ordeal!!! We taped his tail to his leg he was pissed and looked ridiculous! What kind of dog do you have?? Hope it all goes well!
